Painting 1 Portfolio
Here are a collection of the things I learned in this class. This class also emphasizes "process portfolio". Those will be included as well. All of these paintings were done on stretched canvas and painted with acrylic paint.
Monochromatic B/W Fabric Painting
Drapery painted in B/W.
Monochromatic B/W Still Life
Drapery with objects painted in B/W. This started the still-life section.
Monochromatic Still Life
Used tints, tones, and shades of Burnt Sienna. Painted Still Life using objects in the studio.
Master Still Life Study using Complementary colors
We had to paint based off of master still-life painter, Paul Cezanne. This painting needed to be done in complementary colors and upside down. I used burnt sienna and Winsdor blue as my complementary colors.
Morandi Complementary Color Still Life
Inspired by Giorgio Morandi, we did still lives using objects found in the studio. I used purple and yellow to create my neutral palette.
Self Portraits
The first portrait, with the blue background, was inspired by Claude Monet. The second portrait with the yellow background had no influence from a master self portrait.
